Mommy, I'm SAD!
Fun in the Hammock.
Exploring the Frog Pond by our house.
Okay, so the photos have nothing to do with this post, I just had to record a little bit of trivia for posterity. For several months now, we have had the pleasure of being able to negotiate with our lovely 3 year old - This is how the negotiations usually go:
Me: "Sarah, you need to eat two more bites of your dinner before you can be done."
Sarah: "No, mommy, I'm going to have THREE bites."
Me: "Okay, you convinced me."
It's a beautiful thing, and I know it won't last, but I'll take what I can get!

I guess just go with it for now =) With Luke it is more like, "you'll never see your Thomas train again if you don't...." J/K, im not THAT mean.
Don't you love how Sarah thinks she's getting what SHE wants?! My favorite is when I tell Gavry it's bedtime and he says, "No, clean up toys, then bed." Uh, okay, sorry I forgot.
Cute pics of Sarah, too.
That is so Sarah! I love her ability to negotiate. She thinks she's getting the better deal!
Oh my gosh...I want to kiss her! That is hilarious. What a beutiful kid. Seriously. I love, love, love the things they come up with!
What can I say, Sarah is the perfect child! What was she so sad about?!
Well hello!! You may not remember me until I tell you that we got lost on a long hike in the middle of Israel with only a few falafels and some cucumbers to tide us over:) I still have the poem that you wrote all about the adventure....see, you were meant to be a writer:) Erin Nelson (now jensen) Amy temple found me through a friend of a friend of a friend of a cousin of a cousin:) your family is so cute, so fun to see what you're up to. long live goulash and sunday ice cream!
erin - sverincrew.blogspot.com if you want to see some lame blogging or some pictures of me looking a lot saggier, wringlier and baggier than I was in Israel:) take care!
Those are awesome pics of Sarah. What happened? :) And I love how smart kids think they are! :) The scary thing for me is that real soon Jackson is going to be out smarting me for reals. My little sneaky lies aren't working too well these days. I know I know. Stop fibbing. :)
Sarah was mad, because she was not cooperating while I was trying to take pictures of her in the hammock (she kept covering her face), so I told her I was done and started to put my camera away.
Well, lately she has started to turn on the waterworks to try and get what she wants - she will say things like, 'mommy, I have tears in my eyes!" But, she can turn it off just as quickly, so I often have little sympathy - hence, the snapping and subsequent posting of said photo (all with a suppressed giggle).
