No, this is not a post about turbulent family interactions after long hours in church . . . it is a post about an actual thunderstorm. We were languishing in the oppressive heat and humidity of a sultry afternoon when, suddenly the clouds rolled in and the heavens opened up pouring down torrents of water accompanied by some spectacular lightning and thunder. We pulled our chairs into the garage to watch the downpour and Sarah couldn't resist playing in the summer storm . . .

You know what that looks like so much fun. I really miss the rainstorms we had in Pittsburgh. We havn't had rain here in CA in it seems forever. I miss it!
Those are some great pictures of Sarah. She is growing so fast. I seriously can't believe it. And I too love the rain storms. I WISH we had a covered porch of a LEVEL garage to watch them from. :) Ahhh. . . Pittsburgh.
Sarah looks like she is having the time of her life- dancing in the rain. I feel the same way about dancing in the rain.
You know, we do the exact same thing. We sit out on our patio and watch lighting roll across the valley. Its one of Claires favorite things to do. She talks to the storm to, she will ask a question and then wait for it to thunder back an answer. Its pretty cute.
That is some serious rain! You are brave, Sarah...and really cute too. Looks like you had so much fun! I would love to meet you someday.
one of my greatest regrets about moving to CA is that we don't get storms like that. What a fun mommy you are, letting her get all wet. She looks about as happy as I have ever seen a little girl look. pure joy. its beautiful!
