Sarah started 2nd grade last week. Here she is ready for the bus.
She couldn't wait and ran all the way to the bus stop!
Claudia spent her first Sarah free day pulling out all of Sarah's dresses and trying them on...
... along with some fancy earrings and sunglasses.
On Labor Day we had a little backyard BBQ with friends. My good friend Chris from High School made the hour long trip from her home in MA with her family to join us. It was great to catch up with her and meet her cute family.
For her first homework assignment, Sarah was asked to bring in a few items that would help her class get to know her a little better. Among other things, she chose to take a poem that she had written over the Summer. A few days later she told me excitedly that the new principal had asked her to read her poem for the whole school on the Friday morning announcements. What a great honor. She did a wonderful job. Tim recorded her reading, and you can hear it below. We are so proud of you Sarah!
