Sarah was so excited to get this letter all the way from Cambodia including 3 "100 dollar bills" (worth about 3 cents). She also loved all the stamps on the envelope. Thanks Weston!
Some of our summer blooms...
Sarah had to write and present a paper on a colonial occupation of her choice. She chose to research a Milliner. Here she is at the official presentation with her good friend Layla who was a baker.
Showing her wares at her shop...
Fun on the tire swing...
... and on the tricycle...
The princess under the sea...
Sarah had Spirit Week leading up to her school's Challenge Day. They had Hawaiian day...
... and mismatch day... (we didn't get photos of the other days).
Emmett likes to help around the house...
I spent some time in June transforming a small forgotten space into a new sandbox play area. Here are some before photos...

... AND After...
The Big Apple
We spent a few days in NYC with cousins from Utah. These girls had so much fun together!
So did these girls...
... and this boy...
A piano concert in the middle of Times Square? I know, right?
The view from our hotel room - thanks mom and dad!
Aw man! Aren't these two of the cutest boys you have ever seen?!
We took a trip out to the Statue of Liberty...

| Emmett loved Uncle Ben! |
The kids had a wonderful time running around playing freeze tag...
... Emmett even got in on the action and waited patiently until Zane tagged him...
... He pretty much had a wonderful time!
... after so much fun, Emmett took a much needed nap...
After the Statue of Liberty we had some authentic New York Pizza for lunch before heading over to One World Trade Center. Unfortunately by the time we got there the clouds had moved in and there was zero visibility from the top...
... that didn't stop us from enjoying each other's company as we waited in line...
... and played on the virtual window at the top...
... our view that day...
We killed some time in line by testing out our camera's macro function...
As we headed back to the hotel Sarah spotted this interesting sculpture...
And we had an adventursome ride on the subway...
The next day we made our way to the Intrepid...
... we got to see a real space shuttle...
... and play in a pretend one...
We pretty much wore everyone out!
Back in CT
Enjoying the new sandbox...
A fun afternoon at our favorite Rhode Island Beach, Misquamicut...
... followed by our favorite dockside haunt Captain Scott's Lobster Dock...
Fun with water and chalk in the driveway...
A visit to the drawbridge in Mystic. We got there just in time to watch the bridge go up...
... had a little fun at a nearby playground...
... then enjoyed some delicious ice cream at "Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream Cafe"...
The next day we headed over to the Nautilus Nuclear Submarine Museum. They had just finished dedicating a new outdoor exhibit...
It was still open, so we climbed inside...
... then we toured the Nautilus...
... ate lunch near the river and threw lots of rocks in...
... and then headed back to the beach for some more fun!
