So, I have been extremely lazy when it comes to posting to my blog. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of excuses - I'm training for the block building world championships next year, I have found many great books with which to spend my free time, every time I tried to upload photos to Blogger, I would get an error - you, know the usual stuff.
Anyway, here I am posting about something that happened 2 months ago (and ten years ago). Let me explain . . . no there is too much . . . let me sum up . . . Ten years ago, Tim and I spent two months of our three month honeymoon on Mt. Desert Island in Maine. We worked in a tiny market called Town Hill Market. Well, after 10 years of bliss, we decided it was time to revisit our old haunts and reconnect with old friends. So, over the Fourth of July weekend, we drove up to Bar Harbor, Maine. We had a great time!

Here we are in July 1998 - newly married overlooking Seal Harbor from our favorite spot on Day Mountain.
Now - July 2008 - at the same spot.
The three photos above were all taken on what turned out to be a 25 mile bike ride on the carriage trails in Acadia National Park. We had a great time, but were totally exhausted when we got back to the hotel.
Tim and Sarah enjoying the tide pools and the sunset before the fireworks.
Sarah found some wonderful treasures in the tide pools.
Tim and Sarah ready to watch the fireworks. It was really cool to see them over the water.
The week after we got back from Maine, Tim and I went on our Stake Youth Pioneer Trek as a "Ma and Pa" - but that is a story for another post - I'll try to get caught up sometime soon.

Kim...that's so cool that you guys were able to go back there! I'm a tiny bit jealous! How did Sarah like it? Whenever I see new posts or pictures from you...memories come rushing back. I enjoy you so much. Tim too. I'm so glad we could be roomates all those years ago as we hunted our husbands!
that looks so pretty. I don't think I will ever stop missing the beauty of the east coast. Sarah looks like she's having a blast. I love that you guys take her to so many cool places (especially with such a long bike ride) I need to be better about getting out with the kiddos.
I think that is really cool that you were able to revisit your honeymoon! The location looks beautiful, especially that sunset!
And I can't believe how big sarah is getting. She looks beautiful!
Hooray for wedded bliss! Rob and I were able to revisit our honeymoon location (Sun Valley) last year for a family reunion and we kept talking about how much our lives had changed since that first week of marriage! If someone had told us back then that we'd be back in 12 years with 4 daughters and a house in NC, we wouldn't have believed them!
What a gorgeous place to have to go and revisit. And such pretty pictures. I told Brooke that we need to plan a girls trip to see you. Seriously.
Your pictures looked beautiful. I love the east coast. Sarah looks like she's getting so big. In my mind I still picture this cute petite red headed baby, and now she's grown up into a beautiful girl!
Those "then and now" pictures on day mountain are very cool! I love the picture of Sarah with the little sea star.
Good luck with your block building world championship - I'm currently training for the timed races for diaper changing and nose wiping. There is also a challenge to see how many times a day I can ask the question, "Do you need to go to the bathroom?" :)
