Make a wish...
I learned that dusting the top of a birthday cake with powdered sugar before the birthday boy blows out the candles, is not the best idea...
... but baking a ring of rich chocolately pudding into the cake IS the best idea.
Even Claudia enjoyed a taste of yummy cake.
Sarah came home from school the other day and sat down to read a book to Claudia.
... and I painted some flowers (inspired by the fabric I used for her bedding) on Claudia's bedroom wall.

Wow! I love Claudia's wall. You could make a business out of creating unique walls for people. I need the recipe for that cake by the way.
Claudia's room looks awesome. I love that you're so adventurous with your DIY projects & they turn out so good. I actually laughed out loud at Tim blowing out his candles because I thought that was a cloud of smoke & I thought, " geez he must have A LOT of candles on there" :) Happy Birthday to Tim & would you mind sharing your recipe for the cake?
I like the powdered sugar on top of the cake - it made it seem like there was tons of smoke from the candles! And the table looked festive afterwards too. :) The flowers are beautiful! You are so so talented. And what could be sweeter than Sarah reading to Claudia - cute!
