We started our Mexico vacation with a very special event:  The Naming and Blessing of my niece...

The whole crowd - including my Aunt and Uncle, my cousin, her husband and their two kids -they just happened to be at the same resort during the same week as us.  What a pleasant surprise.

A few of us took the kayaks out despite rough seas and a wicked headwind... until we finally made it to the calm waters inside the mangroves... Is it possible that the winds could have changed direction during the 20 minutes we were in the mangroves?  It sure felt like we were battling the same headwind on our way back to the dock.

One evening, all the men showed up wearing similar tropical patterned vacation shirts...

Evan didn't get the memo, but he did get to wear that darling baby all night.

We had one day full of rain, so we took advantage of the less than perfect forecast and headed to XPLOR - an adventure park full of "100% safe" zip lines, "amphibious" vehicles, and underwater caverns...
