April 2014

April was another full month with lots of 'Trouble'...

My kitchen 'helpers'

… Spring Break…
Sarah went to a 'Fashion' birthday party complete with photo shoot.

Emmett likes to 'ride' the tricycle.

Emmett's first time in the swing.
The following photos are some of the many different things you can do with one simple scarf.  I intended to to an entire blog post about my thoughts on simplifying our toy collection and paring it down to just a few simple open-ended items, but that will be a blog post for another day.  For now, here are just a few of the ways this scarf was used all within the same 24 hours...
A fashionable hat.

Bat wings.

Elsa hair.

I already mentioned this in a previous post, but since it happened in April I will include it here again.  We went to court to finalize Emmett's adoption. Yea!

The girls had fun playing on the grounds at City Hall.
With the weather warming up, we have been able to have a little outdoor fun...

We also died Easter Eggs...

Yes, Claudia chose to wear her Jack-o-Lantern shirt for the occasion.

Emmett participated by crawling around under the table.

The Easter Bunny came a day early.
Claudia turned the big Oh-Four this month and we celebrated by making butterfly cookie pops for her pre-school class...
 … opening presents...

… and hosting a 'rainbow party' with a few friends...

Rainbow cake.

Enjoying some of the spoils.

She spent some of her birthday money on a 'makeover' kit that included these beautiful press-on nails.

I love your blog. And I'd love to know your thoughts on simplifying your toy collection! Miss you!
