June 2014

Claudia had been using a white dress and one of Emmett's blankets as a cape to dress as Elsa from Disney's Frozen, but she kept telling me that she needed a real Elsa dress, so one day we headed upstairs to find my bag of fabric remnants and a few hours later we had this...
… she pretty much loves it!
Tim changed our rope swing to a tire swing and it has been much more enjoyable for the girls...
Claudia wanted to be a pirate at breakfast one morning...

Emmett found his way into the dishwasher… again...
We got out the kiddie pool...

 Sarah grew a stylin' 'stache...
… and grew as tall as grandma...
We went to Boston with both sets of grandparents… stayed in the same hotel… and swam in the pool...

Then we went to the Boston Temple and had Emmett sealed to us forever...
We had so many great family and friends there to support us...
Front row: Mark, Anna, Joan, Me, Emmett, Sarah, Claudia, Grandmom, Grandma, Grandpa
Back row: Chris, Melanni, Jessica, Tim, Grandpa, Scott, Bethany

Hi Handsome!

After a beautiful afternoon at the temple we headed home roast hot dogs and sausages over the campfire in the backyard...
Claudia really wanted to roast marshmallows too, but all I could find was a half-full bag of stale mini marshmallows...
She had a great time 'roasting' mini marshmallows for everyone there...
The grandpas pushed the girls on the new swing...

The next day we had a great time blowing bubbles...

 … riding scooters...
 … and tricycles...

The next weekend Tim and I took advantage of having Grandmom and Grandpa here and took a little trip back to Tim's hometown in Michigan...
Sunset on the lake.
We took a paddle boat ride onto Lake Michigan...

… and surprised Tim's old bandmates at a gig they were playing at 'Irish Fest' in Kalamazoo...
Fonn Mor
We caught up with Kurt and Aaron again the next morning at 'Station 66' in Battle Creek.
The fountain on Western Michigan University campus.
Overall a fun and busy month!  We loved having some grandparent time, and especially our time at the Temple.  Now, on to July!
