We took a little trip to North Carolina over the long weekend (with a stop in New Jersey/Philadelphia, PA there and back) to see Tim's Grandmom and his Aunt and Uncle. It was a long drive, but we had a great time.
Sarah had an absolute blast boogie boarding in the ocean waves at Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina - both Tim and I took her out on the board, but we only got good video footage of Tim and Sarah - because, you see, I have skills in that department:). Anyway, the video is kind of crappy, because it is from our point and shoot digital camera, and the only sound you hear is the wind whipping past the microphone, but I think the look on Sarah's face is priceless!
Sarah loved swimming in the ocean (I even got in the water on this trip, because it was somewhat warm instead of bitter cold)!
Sarah also loves digging in the sand. When Tim's Aunt asked Sarah what we were going to do at the beach, she said "dig," (and made the motions for digging with her hands) "and swim" (then made swimming motions with her arms). And that's what we did.
Sarah and Grandmom had a wonderful time just visiting on the veranda.
Here we are in Philadelphia visiting the Liberty Bell.
We also took a carriage ride with our friends, Caty and Andy, who live in Cherry Hill, NJ (just outside Philly) According to Sarah, "Caty is Sarah's friend and Andy is Daddy's friend." When I asked who my friend was she said "Buckah," which is what she calls my dad. But, Sarah warmed up to Andy a little more on this trip, and they had a great time playing together.

That looks like so much fun. You must be loving your new life as a non resident! And I can not believe how big Sarah is in just a few short months. And it is like she is so tall and skinny. Where are those chubs I love and adore? I will never forget them!:)
You went all the way to Philly and didn't make the 5 hour detour to come visit us??
The beach looks like so much fun, but I did watch shark week on Discovery a couple weeks ago, and say plenty of stories of shark attack on those beaches. Scary!!!
I agree, I miss the chubs! Claire is loosing her belly and it makes me sad.
