Googly Eyes, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways . . .
No, seriously folks, googly eyes are the best! Just slap them on anything and it becomes a potentially beloved creature. No artistic ability necessary. Use them on paper, with clay, slap 'em on a magazine photo, glue them onto a stick - you choose, the possibilities are endless.
Case in point . . . . below is one of Sarah's recent creations . . .
Here is the whole mess of creatures that we made yesterday . . .
My favorite of my creations . . . a bunny rabbit.
My favorite of Sarah's creations . . . a porcupine.
Oh yeah, toothpicks are awesome, too!

what is that? oatmeal? I'm totally stealing this idea. believe it or not, I am starting to feel cooped in here, ready for summer. it has been raining a lot and I am in need of ideas. this one looks great.
Yeah, the dough is made out of oatmeal, flour, and water. Unfortunately I don't have the recipe because I didn't make it - we went to a primary activity on Saturday, and when it was over they had like ten pounds of this dough left over. They offered, and I took some. - Anyway, I'm sure you could find a recipe for it online somewhere.
Have fun with it - we sure did.
That is a cute idea!
How cute are are those?! Seeing them all made me giggle.
My favorite is the little piggy! very cute!
My sister sent the boys some googly eyes last month and I am LOVING them. In order to make them last longer, I have to hide them. :)
Googley eye's make anything have a personality. That first globb looks irritated:) What a fun idea.
Ah, never underestimate the power of googly eyes! Your kids are going to grow up so talented with all the art you do with them- what a good mom!
